Literature Text

Of a love, of a care
Every time, I lose more hair
A pointed laugh, a fake smile
Every time, I tasted bile

Around and around, I know this tune
It will all end, and none too soon
But did we stop to smell the roses?
Or clear a path, like a brokedown Moses?

I try to rhyme, and bind each word
As though any of this has not been heard
I know its old, with new far and few
But it doesn't stop this from being true

There's this way, this way you are
Near to heart, yet out too far
Your mind burns, to scorch the truth
Your nature's bare, and red in tooth

So what the hell?  I'll tell it straight
With hat in hand, under doomed fate
Please forgive yourself, and let me share
You deserve better.  My love, my care.
A poem about understanding the people you love and care about. Especially when they driving your up the friggin' wall. Understanding doesn't exactly mean you can't see their faults, just that you choose to work with them.
